9/11 Patriot Day

So today is September 11, and 11 years ago many people lost their lives in our country.  Today is a day to remember those lives lost; those lives we now fight for. My grandma knows exactly where she was when the world heard Elvis died, that was her generation's thing, and now it my generation and we all(or should know) where we were and what we were doing when the twins fell. I remember very clearly. Being on the West coast our day really hadn't started yet and I remember being my little 1st grader self barely waking up and hearing my dad call," Girls come out here!" Me and my family all sat on the couch together and watched the news in sad disbelief. Where were you? Do you remember?
I encourage everyone to take a moment of silence today for all those civilian men and women today. Then take another one for all the soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines out there making sure it doesn't happen again.  Everyday there are people, normal people, that have decide to train and risk their lives to defend our country. You may not see it and hopefully never will, but everyday these men and women fight to keep all attacks out of our homeland.  They leave their family and put everything on the line so we at home can live on peacefully. They work day and night taking down terror attempts after attempts. Please thank a service men. Only 1% will join and a smaller percent join now that we are in conflict, those few people deserve a thanks and a hand shake.

In honor of 9/11 me and my sisters have done our nails red, white, and blue. First, my baby sister, Emmy. Emmy is definitely the artist of the three of us. She actually wants to go to cosmetology school too. We all started and ended with base/top coat. Then Emmy started with CND Silver Chrome with just a swipe on the side followed by theBalm A Case of the Blues on the other corner of the nail. After letting both colors dry she went over the whole tip with Venique Spike It to add some glitter. once the glitter was also dry she use a tiny paint brush to line the colors in OPI Got the Blues in Red.
Now my sister Amanda. Amanda is very patient so she did a lot of paint then dry, paint then dry. She started with Venique Ballerina Blues and after it dried painted the top half in OPI Got the Blues in Red and finally after that dried added the stripes in Zoya Snow White.

Finally mine. I'm the child that thinks I can do anything when in all reality I have no artistic sense and no patience.  My nails just ended up plain 2 red, 2 blue, 1 silver glitter. But I'll show what I attempted. I thought it would be amazing but I think I need some classes to do it. I attempted to paint them solid OPI Got the Blues in Red and the thumb OPI Blue My Mind. Then I Did the stripes and just did dots for stars in Zoya Snow White.  Then here is where I screwed up...Attempting to CND Blackjack use my nine looked fine and the building fell apart. It smudged every where so I cleaned them and just threw on the red, blue, silver. YAY IMPATIENCE!

You don't have to be over the top patriotic but remember to win together we have to play together, and the USA is a melting pot full of winners so show your support that have played hard for team.
